Its cold.
So yeah, I did not realize how terribly cold it was until I opened my door and my toes went numb instantly. Being the smart person that I am I continued out into the bitter freezing cold rather then curling up next to the firplace with an improving book, like most sane people. No, I instead tromped out to the barn in my wellies filled with a feeling of guilt and shame for not having shown my face around the stable for nearly five days! But all the feelings of shame (and indeed quite all feelings and thoughts in general) left my icicle of a body very quickley and I could focus my attention on nothing more then the goal of getting feeling back into my limbs and blood warm enough to move to my brain.Even plunging my hands deep into the thick winter coats of teddy bear thick horses yielded no relief to the tingling in my frozen fingers. The most frightening part is that I know it will only get worse, a whole lot worse.

It has gotten pretty cold I must admit. Right now it's fully 8:18 AM, bright and sunny and yet only 18 degrees F out. You should look into some of those hand/foot warming packets. I'm sure you know as much about them as I do, but I'm sure they would do wonders for cold toesies.
